A project of two parts.
The Client at Mediablaze needed UI to be designed for their new online presence which would be populated by content from the Mediablaze Editorial Teams.
The project was made up of two parts, the brochureware / content area of the site where a user could find out tips and information on how best to manage their finances and a payment portal where they could make individual payments, set up a monthly payment, manage their account and check their account balance.
Working closely with the Client and our Digital Director we scoped out the needs of the project and the feature sets that were needed both from a customer and an internal operator standpoint.

UI Design System.
I created a design system which pushed their brand into a warmer and more approachable territory. The Financial Brand wanted to appeal to an audience of young adults in the age range of 18 - 30. Analysis of other financial brands and challenger banks such as Monzo, Tide, Starling and Revolut showed that a broader colour palette was needed.
Introducing the purple and yellow tones into the palette created a system that was more flexible and vibrant, allowing us to create a product that had both integrity and a welcoming aesthetic.
Rules for shadows enabled us to create depth and interest in the design, but easily maintaining consistency and contrasting type styles allowed us to create a more defined hierarchy in type heavy situations.

A pleasant User Experience.
Working closely with the client's in-house UX team we have created a streamlined and hassle-free journey for the user to navigate through the account creation and payment processes.
Using the design system, I have begun to flesh out the Wireframes into UI Designs which will then be used in a prototype for further user testing and client feedback.
This project is still in ongoing and design is still in progress. It will be updated as milestones are reached and the project has developed further.
